Shopify Merchant Discovery | Culture Kings

Culture Kings is an innovative and fast-moving fashion brand that has built their online business on Shopify over many years. They have constantly pushed the boundaries of their systems to ensure they’re able to provide their customers an experience that extends that of their renowned retail stores.

Culture kings are undergoing many technical projects, including the adoption of new Shopify products like Hydrogen, Oxygen and Shopify POS. As part of their acquisition by a.k.a Brands, they are also implementing new systems to align with the technology of other brands within the group.

The purpose of this discovery document is to aid in this transition, and ensure the Shopify and Culture Kings teams maintain a close technical partnership. In this document we have:

1. Consolidated existing technical diagrams, and augmented our findings with information from Shopify.
2. Translated our findings into a reference for the Culture Kings team, and for Shopify product teams. We want to have a shared understanding of the Culture Kings business.
3. Created a launchpad to enable better product recommendations and feedback moving forward.

Importantly, we want this document to remain high-level enough that all stakeholders can use it to understand the technical aspects of the Culture Kings business
